Adaptation

John and his wife run a good nursery but John’s wife, uncle and mom got in a series car accident and his mom and uncle die instantly. His wife got out of her coma and she divorced John and sued him. A couple months later John went home and his place was destroyed by a hurricane. Siminoles hired John since John is an expert on flowers and orchid poaching. The Siminoles only use the extract of the ghost orchid for illicit drug. John is caught at a park and sees Susan the journalist. They become great friends they fall in love but Susan is still married. John hired Charlie to write a screenplay. Charlie is sad because his brother moved in with him and is taking advantage of him. Charlie meets with Susan because he needed some advise on the script he was writing for John. Susan and John got caught making love by Charlie and Donald and the were using the Ghost Orchid drug. Donald gets shot and Susan is arrested. Charlie confessed his love to his girlfriend and finished the script for John. I did not like this movie at all. It did not make nay since to me. I thought it was really boring. At first I was lost at the being of the move because I did not know what was going on I was so lost.

Cultural Opportunities

It’s November 19, 2009, six hours before the premiere of the New Moon is released in theaters. I am at work and almost every girl and guy already got their tickets for the night show. The Rave and Pekin were sold out of tickets but I am going to the Sunnyland Theater. We got there about an hour before the show, so we could get good seats. We all had to park far out almost by the Super Pantry gas station because there was already a big crowd. We went into the doors and the door backed up the lines. There were at least 50 or more in line before us. A lot of them have been waiting for about three hours or even more so they can get a good seat. There were more girls than there were guys. Every girl had either, t-shirts, necklaces, and purses that said the Twilight or New Moon, and my group we had T-Shirts on. Its fifteen minutes before the movie starts, and they are finally seating for the movie. Everyone is so pumped up, loud and jumping in the air because they had energy drinks so they could stay up tonight. Everyone right now is just talking about how they think the movie is going to turn out or juts about the book. Its midnight now and the movie start a minute after midnight. As we all countdown ten, nine, eight, seven, six, five, four, three two, one and everyone gets up and cheers that its time for the movie to begin. There was complete silence in theater throughout the movie. All of eyes were on the movie the entire time. At the end of the movie everyone got up and clapped. On the way out of the movie, everyone was talking about what they forgot in the movie that was in the book or how Jacob and Edward were so hot in the movie and that they have to have them. The movie everyone said was the better than the last one because they had a better director for the movie.

Shakespeare in love, its, 1593 in London, Philip Henslowe is the manger of the theater finds himself balance due to a loan shark named Hugh Fennyman. He offers Philip a partnership in a new production that William Shakespeare wrote called Romeo and Ethel and the Pirates Daughter. William finds out that his love was cheating on him. He throws his play right into the fire, and then he renamed his play Romeo and Juliet. He could not right the play because he had no inspiration but he was still auditing for Romeo. A young boy came to Williams the theater to try out for a part in the play named Thomas Kent but really he was a young woman that loved t act and her named was Viola de Lesseps. William tracked down the young and found out his identity and falls in love with Viola. William found his inspiration and it was Viola and he then began writing the rest of the play. William and Viola had to hide their love because Viola is having an arranged marriage. As they hide there love, and keep sneaking around William makes love to Viola and that’s when he got the balcony scene for Romeo and Juliet. If William play is a success then he gets money from the Queen. Viola gets married that day the play was going to be shown. She gets married and then she sneaks out of the carriage and goes to the theater to see the play. When she got there, they were missing a Juliet so she volunteered t play her. William thought she was gone forever and that he did not get to see her again. William was playing Romeo that day and when Viola came out on stage to be Juliet William eyes locked with hers the whole time. I thought the movie was great because it was about how Shakespeare wrote Romeo and Juliet. I loved Romeo and Juliet when I first saw it on the TV. At first when I picked out this movie I thought I was not going to like it but I was wrong. I liked how one girl could make Shakespeare write a whole play. He wrote it about how he fell in love with Viola. He got some many ideas juts by making love to her. I think this movie is better than Romeo and Juliet because you can feel the love Shakespeare was having with Viola.

This class has been great, I learned a lot of things about my writing. I have improved a lot in my writing but I still can do better. I liked all the assignments’ expect for the travel essay. I did not like it because I hated that I had to go and interview them and it was not my kind of writing I liked. My favorite one I going to be the movie I am writing about because I love the Twilight movie and I have so many good thoughts and how I am going to write it. It is going to be difficult about writing about the forbidden love between Edward and Bella but the movie shows you so much that you can get some great ides from it. The one thing I did not like about this class is writing the blogs. I always forget about them or I just do not know what to say.

Writing

I always forget to write in my blog. The ad analyses were a hard paper for me to write. It was easy finding the ad but much harder writing it. I think I looked at that ad for about 4 day’s straight and had no ideas of what to write. It was a good ad but I did not know how to write about it. Went to the studio and got some great ideas. After that I started to think and had things written down for my paper. I think I am doing a good job so far but I know it can be stronger. I am really excited about the next paper about picking a movie. I done this paper before when I had Stephanie Scott my senior year of high school. I picked an okay movie but now I just can not watch it anymore because I am so sick of it. I picked Star Wars III, not the best movie to write on. The only thing I loved about the movie was the romance and maybe some of the fighting.

Blog 8

I have not written in my blog for a really long time because I keep forgetting to do it. Or, I just do not know what to write in it. When I got my autoethnography back I was really pleased with my grade but I still think I can write more and do better with the paper. Writing my travel essay was difficult but at the same time easy. Going to the interview I was really nervous just because it was my first interview. I got a lot of good quotes from the owner and the cooks that were there that day. I was easy when I finally got to put all my notes together, that I had written down or I taped that day. I went to eat there twice because I want to tell people that there pizza is best all around and not just the same kind of pizza everyone else serves. This paper has challenged my writing because I have to use the five senses because I had to describe all the taste that you would taste in the pizza.

Gun Shot at ICC apartments

A Gun Shooting at ICC apartments Sunday morning around 1:30a.m. Three men from Peoria was arrested and taken to Tazewell County Jail. On charges of mob action and aggravated battery. Emmanuel Jones was 21, Jemeral Linwood 19, and Rodrick Johnson 19, they were all guest at the party but they did not go to ICC. President John Erwin knocked on door at the apartment to make sure everyone is okay. He was told there was a little party going on but when everyone started to text it grew larger. Then a fight broke out and it lead into the parking lot. A lot of students heard 6 gunshots go off and everyone started to yell and run away. There were injuries and some people were transported to the hospital. When I heard about this I thought about how many people might move out because this happen. They should have had better secretary then what they had that night if they knew that a party was going on. They should have every guest check in before they can come to the apartments unless you go to ICC. That many people should be allowed in the apartment at once. I think a lot of people are going to move out since they think it’s not safe there anymore for them. They are going to lose some business now since this has happen.

About me as a writer again

In the collage and this paper we are on, I found some new things about my writing and what helps me write. These both paper I been staying up really late and writing them. During the day I just can not focus on the paper but when it comes to ten o’clock I have so many things that go through my mind about the paper. At about one o’clock I have it all done and I am ready to go on to the next topic. Even though I get tried that time of the night I still keep writing until all my feelings and thoughts are out of my head. My mom thinks I am crazy for doing this with every paper but it gives me a push to write the paper instead of stare at a blank screen all day until something comes to my head. I been watching One Tree Hill or listening to my music when I get stuck on what to write. I eat a lot of junk food but it stops me from getting hungry while I am writing. I just think that I am one of those students that get stuff done more at night than the morning. I know I am defiantly not a morning person.

Cell phones could give you brain damage

Did you know a cell phone could give u some kind of brain damage? Using any kind of cell phone for ten year or more can increase a person’s risk for any kind f brain damage.  The studies show 50 to 90 percent increased risk for those rare tumors.  T- mobile and Touch 3G-cell phone show the worst radiation.  Doctors say children can only use cell phones for emergency since there brain is still developing. The say adults can use cell phones if they keep it away from their head and use the speakerphone or a wireless headset.  Doctors also said not to us the cell phone in public places because exposes others to the phone. I read this article so many times but it looks like they have nobody died yet from cell phone. I think they should get more evidence first before they start putting it on the news. They have discussed this article before but it looks like it did not get to the people. I read a lot of people’s comments and they just do not seem to care about the cell phones. I kind of really do no think after ten years that u can get some kind of brain cancer through a cell phone.  If they had more evidence maybe I would care a little but there is really nothing there.  I like to talk on a cell phone but I really do not think anyone is going to give up his or her cell phone. 

Me as a writer

I am a perfectionist with everything I do, even with my writing. I have to have everything perfect before I turn anything in. I have a facebook and a myspace; I write things on how I feel each day on my page. Facebook and myspace are a big part on my writing because I put my blogs on it and it’s just a way to get to know me more. It makes me feel great, telling my friends how I feel. Sometimes people hate what I put on myspace but it’s just the way I feel and they just need to deal with that.  Sometimes I forget to spell out words because I like to text and when I spell out you I would just put u and not the whole word. So then I have to go back to the begin and change every word.  If I do not like my paper after I finish it, I will throw it away and redo it all over.  I hate to write story’s, I rather I write on how I feel or something that has happen to me in life.  When I see a romantic movie sometimes I like to write about it and try to put it in my world or even tell people how I feel about it.  I write better when no one is around me because I can think more and my mind will just pour out with my feelings. 

Letter of Introduction

There are many things I could tell you about my life and what my goals are going to be. I am nineteen years old, and I been playing soccer for fifteen years. One of my goals as a freshman in college was to receive a scholarship to play at I.C.C and I achieved that. This will be my last year to play at I.C.C. for soccer, but I still have one more year to go. I want to transfer to Bradley and major in graphic design. My future goal is to play soccer at Bradley for two years. Next year will be a sad year because it will be my first year not playing soccer. Soccer has been my passion for a long time. One of my goals is to do well in my math class this semester. Another one of my goals is to raise my GPA. My family is a big part of my life because they all have been there for me when I needed them the most. My mom and dad have always been there when I have fallen apart. They helped me get back up. I see both of my brothers as heroes because they have taught me a lot about life and they way to deal with it. My best friend, Alyse has been my friend since freshmen year in high school. Even thought we both go to different college, we always make time to see each other or talk on the phone. She helped me through many things in my life. I have worked at Avanti’s for over three and half years. It has provided me with money to pay for extra things and repairs on my car. They have been great to me; they always work around my crazy soccer schedule. It is a challenge playing soccer, school, and working. It keeps me busy. Soccer is an important part of my life, but my family is the one of the first things that comes in my life.

Smoke Free Campus

ICC is taking a stand on a smoke free campus, there is one question are u for it or against it. I would have to say I am for the smoke free campus. There are more dreadful reasons than they are on good reasons for smoking a cigarette. Any building at ICC prohibited smoking. From the entrance, exits and even window you have to be fifteen feet away to smoke. There are ash containers at every entrance to throw away any smoking materials. If you are inhaling, exhaling, carrying a pipe, cigar, weed, and herbs are considering smoking. You must get rid of any smoking materials before entering the college buildings. If you are caught smoking where it says smoking is prohibited then you will get fine for it. I hate people that smoke by the building they are killing your lungs and there’s by doing that. Every time I walked by a door last year I could smell the smoke in the air and its just plain awful. Do not do it were everyone walks, do it by your car or in your car.  People that do smoke they complain they want to stop but they cannot stop because they are addicted to it. They should try to quit or just get help.  Every time I smelled smoke it gets my eyes all watery. Everyone is not going to agree on the same answer but they need to start to listen what citizens have to say about smoking and start to think about other people before they start to smoke.
